I was over in the beautiful Warwichshire countryside a few weeks back, covering the wonderful wedding photography of Lauren + Jamie at a new venue to me, Wethele Manor. I say this a lot, and I guess that’s why I am very privileged, but I instantly clicked with this lovely couple, way back on our very first meeting in Harborne and again when we met for their pre-wedding get together. I was also very honoured to have the company of the super talented Aaron Storry on the day who’s passion and energy was infectious. It was for these reasons that I could not wait for this day to come around.
Due to some lovely spring weather we were fortunate enough to have an outdoor ceremony in the idyllic Orchard Bothy, an English Oak structure set in a wonderful courtyard to the rear of the property. Such a stunning venue for a wedding, taken from there website:
‘Wethele Manor dates back to the 16th Century and was we believe originally a thatched house named ‘New House Farm’. The house had a range of both large and small brick outbuildings, some stables, a piggery, an old dairy, a cart shed and a large granary. The House itself, from fairly humble beginnings has been extended we think, in the 18th Century with a larger Georgian three story frontage which gave the house the much grander approach visible today.’
It was a truly lovely occasion with friends and family coming together to celebrate Lauren & Jamie’s most special day. Follows are some of my many favourite moments …
